In order to keep our staff and other customers safe it is mandatory to sanitise your hands an also wear a mask or visor at all times when at John A Stephens this includes being in the Yards, Counter Sales and Shop facilities at both Castle Meadow Road & West Bridgford branches.

Trading will be as normal as possible & will be conducted within the Government's Stay Alert guide lines.

With the advance of heating technology, underfloor heating is now a much more affordable and efficient way of heating homes and business premises.

 Underfloor heating creates comfortable, gentle even heat, whilst allowing greater flexibility for interior design.

Solid Screed Floor.

Polypipe Under Floor Heating in screed floors uses light weight plastic panels which nest together for easy storage and handling.

Installing Under Floor Heating using these quick and easy to cut panels means it is possible to heat any shape and size of room.

The panels form a grid for fast pipe laying ensuring minimum bend radius and pipe spacings are achieved. Laid over pre-installed insulation and with an edge insulation to maximise performance and energy efficiency in the following floor constructions;

Sand and Cement screed (4:1).

Pumped Screed (anhydrite, etc).

Fine or Heavy concrete.

Polymer Modified Screed.

Modular Heating Panel

Modular Heating Panel is a pre configured solution where all of the floor heating elements are supplied fitted within complete panels which are fitted together and connected on site.

This means it is now possible, thanks to Modular Heating Panel, to fit panels quickly into existing joist voids and connect to a standard heating source. The system works with both traditional and engineered joists and can be fitted from above or below.

The flexibility of panel placement means that areas covered by built-in wardrobes, baths or shower cubicles can be avoided without detriment to the overall heating provision, due to the high heat output at lower flow temperatures Modular Heating Panel maximises heat efficiency whilst lowering energy output.

Eg; For a room temperature of 20c only 80% of floor coverage is required to provide 70w/m2 or around 60% for 50w/m2 which means Modular Heating Panel is an ideal solution when used with a Heat Pump.

Panel sizes

Length. 1.3m and 2.0m

Width. 380mm and 490mm.

Overlay Heating for existing floors

A low profile heating system for both renovation and new build projects.

Installed over existing floors, with an increase in height of only 18mm (+ floor covering) this system allows for floor heating where traditional Under Floor Heating methods would mean costly excavation works or an unacceptable rise in floor levels.

Available in 2 panel types.

Overlay. A fibrous panel for heavy weight floor coverings such as ceramic tiles or where the floor covering needs to secured directly to the panel such as solid wood.

Overlay Lite. A high compressive strength but light weight insulated panel for use with lighter floor coverings such as laminates, engineered wood, carpet etc. Due to the ease of handling and cutting it is also more suited to large areas or multiple room installations.

Both panels use a 12mm pipe at 150mm centres to give excellent response time and heat outputs when compared to traditional built in Under Floor Heating systems.
