Ventilating buildings in line with building regulations.
Greater use of air tightness and insulation in building construction combined with the moisture created in bathrooms and kitchens means that effective, efficient ventilation is now a part of Building Regulations.
Mechanical Ventilation with Heat Recovery.
Modern buildings can lose up to 25% of heat due to uncontrolled ventilation and air leakage. An average bathroom full of moist air contains over 600 watts of heat energy and is exhausted twice every hour, meaning 1.2kwh of heat is wasted. Which is enough to power a fan heater. Polypipe heat recovery appliances can recover more than 92% of this heat directly saving costs and carbon emissions.
Mechanical Extract Ventilation.
Used to provide a discreet constant low level ventilation through a single appliance. When installed inline with best practice procedures MEV systems provide a very efficient and consumer-friendly ventilation option. All models are available with trickle and boost functions along with differing control options to provide a solution to all applications.
